Paste the post link above and tap Download: every photo gets its own button and is saved in the size it was uploaded (X's “orig” copy), and Download all saves every photo of the post with one tap. A GIF is saved as the MP4 file X stores – X keeps every GIF that way – with the GIF as MP4 button, or as a real .gif file with the GIF button.
Save photos and GIFs
- Copy the post link. In the X app, tap the Share icon under the post and choose Copy link, or copy the address on x.com.
- Paste it here. Paste the link into the box above and tap Download.
- Save the photos or the GIF. Tap Photo 1, Photo 2… for single pictures, Download all for every photo of the post, or GIF as MP4 (or GIF for a .gif file) for a GIF.
Why saved pictures are often smaller
The timeline shows photos in a reduced size to load faster, and saving from the app or a long-press often keeps that smaller copy. BirdGrab asks X for the original upload, so the picture has the full resolution the author posted – often several times larger.
Photos keep the format they were posted in, usually JPG, sometimes PNG or WebP. If your link ends in /photo/2, that photo is highlighted in the result.
GIFs are MP4 files on X
When a GIF is posted, X turns it into a short, silent MP4 video; that is what the timeline plays. BirdGrab saves this MP4 unchanged: it is much smaller than a .gif file, plays on every phone and computer, and chat apps show it like a GIF.
For a real .gif file, tap GIF: BirdGrab converts the clip while you download (up to 30 seconds, at most 480 px wide), so the file is larger and less sharp than the MP4. GIFs never have sound, so there is no MP3 for them.
On iPhone and Android
On iPhone, Safari puts pictures and GIF videos in the Files app under Downloads; open them and tap Share → Save Image or Save Video to add them to Photos. On Android they go to the Download folder, which gallery apps show as an album.
Download all saves the photos one after another, each as its own file; if your browser asks whether to allow several downloads, allow it. In an app's built-in browser on iPhone, such as the X app's, BirdGrab loads all photos first (“Please wait…”) and then opens the share sheet once for all of them.

Are the photos really in full resolution?
Yes. BirdGrab asks X for the original upload, the largest copy X keeps.
Can I get a GIF file instead of MP4?

How do I save all photos of a post at once?
Tap Download all. Your browser saves each photo as its own file, one after another; if it asks whether to allow several downloads, allow it.
Why does my GIF have no sound?
GIFs on X are always silent. If the post has a video with sound, it gets its own MP4 buttons.
Can I save profile pictures or header images?
Not with this tool: it saves the media attached to a post.
